Printable Math Games Ebook Review

I’ve been looking for a set of printable math games for a while, and I recently purchased the ebook, Making Math More Fun Games Collection, and I wanted to get a review up. This is actually not one ebook but a collection of several. Advantages of Printable Math Games for Kids It’s a common scenario: You’re a parent trying to find quick math activities to encourage your child. Or maybe you’re an elementary school teacher that needs to find a way to practice math skills, reasoning or logic in a fun way.

Amazon’s Kindle for Math

If you are planning to buy an Amazon Kindle for your math studies, you should head on over to Amazon’s website to buy your Kindle. With so many options to help learn math in a technology age, you may have overlooked using the Amazon Kindle for math. Opinions I’ve read have been mixed on using a Kindle for math, but I think that’s easily explained. Most people have looked at using traditional textbooks ported to the Kindle.

HP SmartCalc 300s Review

Looking for an HP Smartcalc 300s? Please buy the SmartCalc on Amazon. I recently decided to try to add a few reviews of some other non-graphing calculators. Since I’ve looked a lot at Hewlett Packard’s lineup of calculators a lot recently, I thought it made sense to start with an HP SmartCalc 300s review. Who Is the HP SmartCalc 300s Designed For? The HP SmartCalc is a scientific calculator. That means if you need a graphing calculator, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

Mathematica Review

In 1986, Stephen Wolfram joined the faculty of the University of Illinois. He immediately began developing Mathematica, and it was released in 1988. By the time I arrived on the University of Illinois campus as a freshman in 1995, Wolfram was a local legend and Mathematica had become a part of the U of I math department culture. Curriculum and Mathematica (or C&M) sections of calculus were all the rage but somewhat controversial.

Casio Prizm Unboxing

UPDATE: My Casio Prizm review is now live. It’s finally here! I’ve been promising everyone the first in depth hands on Casio Prizm review, and the Prizm has finally arrived. Casio’s been trying to get me one to evaluate for a while, but they’ve hit a few delays, but tonight it arrived. My goal is to get an “unboxing” video up tomorrow and a review of the Prizm later in the week.

TI-73 Explorer Review

Click here to buy the TI-73 Explorer on Amazon and get free shipping. If you are looking into Texas Instruments line of graphing calculators, you’ve probably noticed that almost everything but the TI-Nspire ends with an “80-something.” Recently, I’ve reviewed the TI-83 plus, the TI-84 plus, and the TI-89 Titanium. However, there is a noticeable exception to this rule, the TI-73 Explorer. It seemed like it was time to get a TI-73 review up.

TI-82 Review

Please click here to see TI-82 prices on eBay. One of the longest running calculators of all time is the Texas Instruments TI-82. The TI-82 has been around since 1993 and has been so popular that Texas Instruments has continued to add features and upgrade it to the TI-83, TI-83 plus, and finally TI-84 plus. I felt like it was time to do a TI-82 review since there’s a lot of confusion out there about this calculator compared to the later calculators like the TI-83.

Texas Instruments releases new OS for TI-84, 2.55 MP

Just received an email from marketing at Texas Instruments alerting me that they released a new operating system for the TI-84 plus a couple of days ago. The newest release for the TI-84 is 2.55MP. This new TI-84 OS offers templates (or “wizards” as TI calls them) for statistics features, such as regressions and statistics. The email also said users have the ability to paste these commands back to the home screen so they can be used in other calculations.

TI-Voyage 200 Review

Please click here to buy the TI-Voyage 200 on Amazon. Probably the most powerful graphing calculator on the market today is the TI-Voyage 200. The TI-Voyage is the phoenix born from the ashes of the TI-92. After a nice run by the TI-92, Texas Instruments decided it needed a makeover. So it slimmed it down, upped the processing power, gave it a stylish new case, and designed it to run on lighter AAA batteries instead of AA’s, and, Presto!

HP 39gs and HP 40gs Review

After recently taking a look at HP’s top of the line calculator (see my HP 50g review), I am now turning my attention to reviewing their entry level models. The HP 39gs and HP 40gs are an affordable alternative to the Texas Instruments lineup of calculators. Who are the HP 39gs and HP 40gs designed for? In reviewing the HP 39gs and 40gs, I found them to be extremely affordable, entry level calculators.
